FRANKINCENSE ATTAR

As salam o allaiqum

Prophet Mohammad (saw) had a visitor who suffered from weak memory. The Prophet (saw) advised, ‘Use frankincense for it stimulates the heart and is heals forgetfulness’.

In Arabic the frankincense attar is called luban which means creamy or white. Frankincense is a milky-white resin which is produced by an unusual looking tree called genus Boswellia.
It is a rare commodity since ancient times and when it was at its zenith its value equaled that of gold, precious gemstones and unique silks.
The healing benefits of frankincense have been mentioned in ancient Muslim texts as well as in Ayurveda. Scientific research done in the recent times has also highlighted the multiple benefits of frankincense. It can alleviate depression and is an effective cure for arthritis and joint pains. The frankincense attar rejuvenates the skin, heals bacterial and fungal infections and is used for treating wounds. The precious essential oil is also used in aromatherapy based products. The frankincense attar can stimulate ones mind, is soothing and it also helps to overcome despair and to focus one’s mind. It is used since thousands of years in the Middle East during religious ceremonies. The frankincense attar can slow down and deepen breathing, stimulate higher consciousness and it enhances prayers, meditation and spirituality.
With its fresh, sweet, balsamic and woody aroma and its multiple health benefits, the frankincense attar is one of the best gifts of nature
